As of December, 765 clean energy business leaders have signed on to CEBN’s letter to Congress applauding passage of the bipartisan infrastructure bill and calling for further action on clean energy. This campaign has attracted support from clean energy business leaders representing 539 firms and across all 50 states. The letter demonstrates strong backing from clean energy business leaders across the country, and it has received coverage from Politico’s Morning Energy and the Washington Post.
Spearheaded by the CEBN and with support from its parent organization, the Business Council for Sustainable Energy (BCSE), this campaign has garnered support from cleantech CEOs, supply chain providers, entrepreneurs, and partners from across the clean energy economy.
CEBN and its supporters are urging Congress to pass the bipartisan infrastructure bill and to leverage the budget package to extend and expand clean energy tax credits, make these fully refundable, double down on RD&D, and direct additional resources towards advanced energy and transportation solutions.
The letter states, “Supporting the clean energy industry would create both immediate AND long-term benefits by generating well-paid manufacturing and construction jobs in every part of the country while creating a stronger, healthier, and more resilient future for our nation.”
