The Community Energy Innovation Summit—taking place on June 25, 2024 in Washington, DC—will bring together stakeholders working to engage underserved communities to ensure an equitable clean energy transition. Whether you are a community leader, innovator, business leader, policy advocate, student, or interested individual, please join us for this dynamic, collaborative event in the heart of the nation’s capital!

The summit will feature pitch presentations by Collegiate Track winners of the Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Community Energy Innovation (CEI) Prize, followed by workshops and roundtable discussions to support the Clean Energy and Manufacturing Ecosystem Tracks teams along with other stakeholders seeking to promote a just clean energy transition. Expected speakers and guests include representatives from the DOE Offices of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, Energy Justice and Equity, Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains, and additional federal agencies.

The event is free, open to the public, and will offer ample opportunities to network with teams competing in all tracks of the prize and other attendees.

About the Community Energy Innovation Prize

The American-Made Community Energy Innovation Prize is a multi-million-dollar prize competition designed to create opportunity for college students, manufacturing coalitions, and community organizations to engage underserved communities to ensure an equitable clean energy transition. At the end of this challenge, nearly $7.5 million will be awarded to projects that have made immense impact on local communities. The prize is divided into three thematic tracks, with the Collegiate Track concluding with the summit in June 2024 and the Clean Energy Ecosystem and Manufacturing Ecosystem Tracks concluding with a subsequent summit in December 2024.
