WASHINGTON, D.C., July 26, 2017 –The Clean Energy Business Network is pleased to announce it is now fully operational as an independent initiative of the Business Council for Sustainable Energy. Started in 2009 by The Pew Charitable Trusts, the CEBN moved to the Business Council for Sustainable Energy in May 2017.  The network serves as a resource to inform and engage clean energy business leaders in policy issues affecting their industry. Members span all 50 states and primarily consist of executives of small- and medium-sized businesses providing renewable energy, efficiency, natural gas, and other advanced energy and transportation solutions.

Since June, the CEBN has launched its new website, communications tools, two webinars, several blogs, new business services, and advocacy opportunities on federal funding for clean energy programs.  In addition, the CEBN was proud to participate in a sustainable energy exposition on Capitol Hill.

Lynn Abramson, Executive Director of the Clean Energy Business Network, said, “We are excited to work closely with our 3,000-strong members to determine how best to serve them, both on the policy front and in terms of facilitating strategic connections.  We’re beginning a comprehensive process, including a member survey, to develop a new strategic plan.  We want to emphasize the ‘network’ in our Clean Energy Business Network.”

The CEBN will work alongside BCSE to grow its coalition of clean energy business leaders and advance clean energy in 2017 and beyond. Any interested parties may join the network through CEBN’s online membership portal.
