ABOUT THE SUMMIT
Funded by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), Office of Energy Justice and Equity (EJE), and Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Technologies Office (AMMTO), the Community Energy Innovation (CEI) Prize supports local organizations with proven track records of engaging underserved communities and/or promoting environmental, climate, and energy justice as they enact community-led climate and clean energy solutions. On Dec. 4 – 5, 2024, the DOE’s second Community Energy Innovation Summit will be held at the University of Illinois Chicago (a federally designated Minority Serving Institution), building on the success of the Collegiate Track Summit held on June 25, 2024 in Washington, DC.
This coming CEI Summit will feature pitch presentations by the winning teams of the Clean Energy and Manufacturing Ecosystem Tracks, followed by workshops and networking sessions to help teams and other stakeholders connect with federal and non-federal resources to support their ongoing efforts to implement community-based clean energy initiatives. The summit is free and open to the public!
