2019-ENERGY INNOVATION COMPETITION

The NC Clean Energy Technology Center is accepting innovative clean energy business proposals and technology solutions, from students at North Carolina-based institutions. The submissions should revolve around: Energy innovation, Energy poverty or NextGen energy challenges. SBIR/STTR PHASE-II ANNOUNCEMENT

The DOE invites relevant people (Phase 1 & 11 grantees) to apply for phase-II grants aimed at completion of R&D associated with the initial prototype, product, or process development (Phase IIA) and transition of innovative models towards commercialization (Phase IIB). The main areas of interest would include greater emphasis on impact demonstration of the path to commercialization as evidenced in commercialization activities conducted in parallel with or after Phase IIB R&D.

LIGHT WEIGHT WIND TURBINE GENERATORS

The DOE is interested in receiving proposals on next-generation wind turbine drivetrain technologies, both land-based tall wind and offshore applications. The overall objective of this project would be to reduce the levelized cost of energy (LCOE) from a wind plant through up-tower testing of a megawatt-scale lightweight generator.
