DOE’s Office of Indian Energy is soliciting applications from Indian Tribes, which include Alaska Native Regional Corporations and Village Corporations (hereafter referred collectively as “Indian Tribes”), Intertribal Organizations, and Tribal Energy Development Organizations to: (1) install energy generating system(s) and energy efficiency measure(s) for Tribal Building(s) (Topic Area 1); or, (2) deploy community-scale energy generating system(s) or energy storage on Tribal Lands (Topic Area 2); or, (3) install integrated energy system(s) for autonomous operation (independent of the traditional centralized electric power grid) to power a single or multiple essential tribal facilities during emergency situations or for tribal community resilience (Topic Area 3); or, (4) deploy energy infrastructure and integrated energy system(s) to electrify Tribal Buildings (Topic Area 4).

The Rural Energy for America Program will provide funds to agricultural producers and rural small businesses to install renewable energy systems and energy efficiency improvements.  The Rural Energy for America Program is designed to help agricultural producers and rural small businesses reduce energy costs and consumption and help meet the nations critical energy needs.  The grants are awarded on a competitive basis.

This is a competitive grant solicitation. The California Energy Commission’s Clean Transportation Program announces the availability of up to $115.7 million in grant funds, subject to future appropriations and Clean Transportation Program Investment Plan funding allocations, for hydrogen refueling infrastructure projects that will expand California’s early commercial light duty hydrogen refueling and fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) markets and to accommodate the projected FCEV roll-out in 2021-2024. Of the up-to amount, $45.7 million is currently available.

This solicitation encourages projects with fueling agreements with fleets of commercial vehicles and transit buses to increase station throughput and to aid in the transition of California’s commercial vehicle and bus fleets to a zero-emission alternative. The network of hydrogen refueling stations, hydrogen fuel supply, and the use of FCEVs will support California’s air quality improvement and climate change goals. Hydrogen is one of the alternative fuels that contributes to reducing the carbon intensity (CI) of transportation fuels.

The Keeling Curve Prize is accepting applications for the prize from innovative climate change solutions in the areas of Capture & Utilization, Energy, Finance, Social & Cultural Pathways, and Transport & Mobility. Each year the Keeling Curve Prize gives out 10 awards of $25,000 each.

76West is an unparalleled competition focused on growing entrepreneurs and attracting resources from the U.S. and around the world to build clean energy businesses and jobs in New York State’s Southern Tier region. Each year, 76West awards one grand prize winner of $1 million, and three $500,000 awards, all payable in increments based on specific milestone accomplishments. Along with a cash prize, competition organizers will also seek to provide additional specialized support based on the winners’ business goals. The objective of this FOA is to conceive and develop scenarios, approaches, methodologies, tools, techniques and systems that maximize the bi-directional exchange of grid services while optimizing connectivity and information exchange at the grid edge to Internet of Things (IoT) interface that leads to enhanced system resilience and reliability. These advancements must be applicable to the scenario of maintaining energy surety to defense installations, where coordination between defense facilities, the utility, and surrounding Distributed Energy Resources(DER) can extend the functioning of those facilities through abnormal events.

The DOE’s Office of Indian Energy Policy and Programs is contemplating to fund efforts to maximize the deployment of energy solutions for the benefit of American Indians and Alaska Natives. The applications should focus on: installation of an energy generating system or, deployment of community-scale energy generating system or, installation of energy system for autonomous operation.

The topics of interest range across HVAC upgrades, energy storage,  water efficiency improvements, and other renewable energy systems.
