LIGHT WEIGHT WIND TURBINE GENERATORS

The DOE is interested in receiving proposals on next-generation wind turbine drivetrain technologies, both land-based tall wind and offshore applications. The overall objective of this project would be to reduce the levelized cost of energy (LCOE) from a wind plant through up-tower testing of a megawatt-scale lightweight generator.
